Grab your ATX Power-Supply, and look at the rating lable, see how much Wattage it can handle. Once the top cover has come loose, you can start removing the Blu-Ray Drive Deck, the WIFI and Bluetooth Anntenas (On the chassis and on the motherboard), and finally remove the Power-Supply. There are 7 Philips Head type screws, 3 underneath the rubber feet, 3 on the plastic feet and 1 on the HDD Bay.Īfter that, remove the 4 Torx Security Bit screws, under the chassis,near the HDD Bay, once done, and all removed, the top cover, should come very easy, if it doesnt, double check, if you have any unscrewed screw left. This its pretty straight forward, turn off the PS3, remove the HDD, and remove the screws underneath the PS3 Chassis. *Electrical Tape - (This one its optional, but i recommend using it, into a few cables that are exposed, just to prevent any contacts, thus a short-circuit) *Cables - (You will need them to connect to the 12V and the 5V, preferably, isolated cables advised, power cables will do) *ATX Power Supply - (Enough to power the PS3, i used a 300W, but anything above should do no harm) WARNING: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE TO ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR PS3, ANY EXPLOSION,THERMO-NUCLEAR REACTION OR WELL-COOKED BOARD, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
